Launch of Bahrain's First Franchise Tournament – The Bahrain Premier League (2018)
Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, KHK Cricket launched Bahrain's first franchise-based league, bringing cricket to the mainstream with live broadcasts on Bahrain TV, digital campaigns, and Coca-Cola as title sponsor.
Women's Cricket Revolution & ICC Women's Initiative of the Year Award (2022)
Despite cultural challenges, KHK Cricket introduced an 8-team women's league, leading Bahrain's women's team to six world records and winning the ICC Women's Initiative of the Year Award.
Global Recognition & Infrastructure Growth (2024 & Beyond)
Bahrain rose to 25th in ICC T20I rankings, hosted the ACC AGM, and secured government support. A 35,000 sqm world-class stadium was pledged by HH Sheikh Khalid, alongside a 71,000 sqm temporary ground, setting the stage for future success.
